Self-sampling Step-by-Step

Self-sampling with Qvintip is an easy, convenient and safe form of health-check. Qvintip comes with simple instructions, which you can also download in PDF format (in Swedish).

Before use

Before use, check your name is on the packaging and that the product is intact (blue and white self-sampling wand, numbered sample tube with cap, response envelope and instructions).
So your test goes as smoothly and safely as possible, the self-sampling wand should be handled with care and only according to these instructions. Hold the wand straight when taking it in and out of your vagina.
You can take your test in a standing or lying position. Don't collect a sample during your period. Sampling is fine during the first three months of pregnancy.

Self-sampling Step-by-Step

Take out the self-sampling wand by holding the blue handle. Keep the wand straight while collecting your sample.
Slide the wand into your vagina until it stops (about 10 cm).
- Rotate the self-sampling wand once.
- Take the wand out (keeping it straight).
Put the white portion of the wand in the sample tube.
Bend the wand so the white section falls into the sample tube.
Put the cap on the sample tube and dispose of the blue portion of the wand.
Put the sample tube in the response envelope, seal and post it.

Your test results will arrive by post after a few weeks.
